42802 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: How many graduate programmes and graduate roles have been disestablished, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?
Hon Penny Simmonds: These decisions are the responsibility of the relevant agency Chief Executive.
I am advised that the Public Service Association has commenced legal action in the Employment Relations Authority against the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) in relation to the change process. The Ministry has paused its change process while legal action is underway.
I am advised that Education New Zealand has not disestablished any roles between 27 November and 10 July 2024.

In relation to the Tertiary Education Commission, I am advised that one graduate advisor role has been disestablished between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024.
