Hon David Seymour: I refer the Member to the attached table showing the number of early childhood education (ECE) centres by region. Data quality is dependent on timely, accurate information being entered into the Ministry of Education’s database. The numbers include the following services: • Casual-Education and Care • Education and Care Service • Free Kindergarten • Homebased Network • Hospital based • Playcentre • Te Kōhanga Reo. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 42755, 42756 and 42757 (2025).
