42752 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and are health and safety professionals, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) disestablished two health and safety professional positions and a vacant role. As part of MPI’s ‘Improving our Efficiency’ change programme health and safety professionals operate within advisory roles, with a focus on educating and informing staff. This will allow MPI to continue maintaining and improving the high health and safety practises across the organisation.
