42699 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Did Health New Zealand retain 25% of prioritised Application Support roles across high-risk National Service Portfolios as outlined in its proposed mitigation plan for Digital Services, and if not, why not?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the 25% of prioritised application support roles across high-risk National Service Portfolios the Member refers to is misrepresenting of the proposal. The proposal was, in fact, a recommendation to add more capacity to the new structure than originally proposed, not to retain 25% of original roles. I am further advised that the final decision added more than the suggested 25% as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare.
