42659 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Local Government: Was there an open application process for the Crown negotiator for regional deals roles, or were they appointed by direct ministerial selection?

Hon Simon Watts: The Department of Internal Affairs developed a list of possible candidates and worked with myself and the Minister for Infrastructure, Minister Bishop, to determine which ones would be best suited to negotiate on behalf of the Crown.
