42643 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Transport: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and have a focus on mitigating climate change or its effects, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Simeon Brown: None for the Ministry of Transport or CAA. I have been advised that NZTA is currently undertaking a change process. A number of individuals involved in this process are focused on various tasks, including programmes progressed by the previous government which are not priorities for our Government, such as reducing the number of kilometres travelled by New Zealanders trying to get to where they want to go.
