Hon Penny Simmonds: Corrected reply: As of September 2024, the Environmental Protection Authority Board appointments is the only entity under my responsibility with a standing fees exception. In 2023 the fees increased by 26.2% for a Board Member, 26.2% for the Deputy Chair and 10.4% for the Chair as a standing exception under the Cabinet Fees Framework. This increase took effect on 4 September 2023. The Te Awamutu Waste to Energy Board of Inquiry includes an exemption to the fees framework for an increase of 44% - 124% for members and 39% - 117% for the chair.
