42415 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What funding, if any, has been set aside for building work, including upgrades or redevelopment, at the Palmerston North Fire Station?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by Fire and Emergency New Zealand that there is planned maintenance scheduled for the Palmerston North Station in the 2025/26 financial year, including maintenance on the roof of the west wing to ensure it remains watertight. Fire and Emergency is still scoping this work, so exact costings are not yet known. Reactive maintenance will be undertaken as required. In respect to future capital investment, please refer to my response to WPQ 42414 (2025).
