42404 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and are Māori, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 40464 (2024). I am advised by Health New Zealand that 16 of the employees whose roles were disestablished were Māori. I am advised that there can be a period of months between the decision to disestablish roles and redundancies. I am further advised that disestablishment of roles was underway prior to 27 November 2024.
