Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Did the Attorney General contact her regarding her comments on appointments to the Employment Relations Authority or about current Employment Relations Authority members; if so, was this prior to the her comment that she acknowledges and respects "the importance of a fair and independent authority where members of the authority listen to the facts presented to them in each case and make their best judgement"?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Hon Collins and I briefly discussed the importance of maintaining the independence of the Employment Relations Authority, and we are in agreement. I have remained consistent in my view that it is important to have a fair and independent Authority.
