42320 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles and have a focus on mitigating climate change or its effects, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Melissa Lee: New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) provides services to export and investment customers. NZTE does not have a direct role in working to mitigate climate change or its effects. I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment does not attribute staff to categories in this way, and many teams across the agency contribute to work across multiple areas and customer groups. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners I am advised there were none.
