42311 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: How many international flights in total, if any, counting each leg of a journey as an individual flight, has each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for paid for in the period from November 27th 2023 to August 1st 2025; and what was the total cost broken down by month, destination, cabin class and the purpose of the flight?
Hon Mark Mitchell: Sport New Zealand: This response requires substantial collation and research, and therefore, my officials are unable to extract the data from 27 November 2023 - present within the Written Question timeframe, nor is it possible to provide a breakdown by each leg. The Member may wish to refer to the Sport New Zealand responses to questions 95 and 97 of the Annual Review for the 2023/24 Financial Year. Sport Integrity Commission Response: The Commission was established on 1 July 2024. Between 1 July 2024 and 1 August 2025, 58 international flight legs were paid for totaling $102,064.65. The total cost, number of travelers, destination, class and purpose is at Appendix A.
