Hon Melissa Lee: I am advised that 12 roles currently filled by women will be disestablished. I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and 30 June 2024, 161 employees were made redundant from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment who identify as women. Please note that this data reflects staff members who have departed MBIE, further change processes are ongoing. Please also note that MBIE staff are not required to provide information about gender – this is voluntary. Therefore, the information provided concerning ethnicity is based on the voluntarily provided information only and is not a complete set of information for all staff who have left MBIE by way of redundancy.
