42260 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles have a focus on working with Māori, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Melissa Lee: I am advised that New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has one role with a focus on working with Māori set to be lost. This work will continue and be incorporated into other roles. I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment does not attribute staff to categories in this way, and many teams across the agency contribute to work across multiple areas and customer groups. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners I am advised there were none.
