Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: How many requests for information, if any, under the Official Information Act 1982 has the Minister or their office received in the period from November 27th 2023 to August 1st 2025, and how many of these, if any, were responded to in full within 20 working days?

Hon Erica Stanford: My office has received 67 requests for official information between 27 Nov 2023 and 1 August 2025. While some requests are responded to within 20 days, some are transferred to other Ministers or agencies, and some may be extended under S15A of the Act. Our tracking system does not hold this data in an easily retrievable format, and it is therefore not possible to provide an accurate number for how many were responded to within 20 days of receipt without undertaking substantial collation or research. It is not in the public interest to divert staff from their core roles to undertake this task in the time required to respond to written questions.
