Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many, if any, infringement notices issued by the New Zealand Police have been issued to any vehicle owned and/or operated by each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for from November 27th 2023 to August 1st 2025; listed by infringement type, date, fine, and whether the fine was paid by the individual driving the vehicle or by the department/entity?

Hon Louise Upston: I refer the member to the below table which outlines the infringements, date occurred, fine amount and who paid the fine for infringement notices issued by New Zealand Police for the period 27 November 2023 to 1 August 2025. The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) have advised me that they can only report on infringements that are received by the Ministry for vehicles that it owns or are rented under the Ministry’s name.
