42146 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many employees, if any, are set to lose their roles have a focus on working with Māori, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) completed consultation with staff on change proposals and final decisions were released to staff on 16 May 2024. As part of these decisions MPI disestablished 12 positions from its Māori Partnerships and Investment business unit. Eight of these staff were reassigned into roles within the Ministry for Primary Industries.
