Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister responsible for the NZSIS: How many, if any, infringement notices issued by the New Zealand Police have been issued to any vehicle owned and/or operated by each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for from November 27th 2023 to August 1st 2025; listed by infringement type, date, fine, and whether the fine was paid by the individual driving the vehicle or by the department/entity?

Hon Judith Collins: For the period 27 November 2024 to 1 August 2025, there were 27 infringement notices issued by the NZ Police totally $2190. Note that NZSIS staff can on occasion receive infringement notices while undertaking certain specific operational activities as mandated under the ISA 2017. The NZSIS will normally pay the infringement notice in these circumstances. It is not in the public interest for me to provide any further details.
