42073 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What percentage of prisoners released from Mt Eden in the 12 months to July 2025 left with a bank account, government-issued ID, and housing arranged?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that while Corrections can determine whether or not a specific prisoner is released with a bank account, government-issued ID, and housing arranged, this information is not centrally recorded. Providing the requested information would amount to substantial manual collation and assessment, which I am not prepared to ask of my officials for the purposes of this response.
