42060 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister for Infrastructure: How many, if any, Koru memberships have been purchased by each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for from 27 November 2023 to August 2024; and for what purpose?
Hon Chris Bishop: For the Treasury, I refer the Member to the answer to Written Question 41975 (2025). For my other agencies: Crown Infrastructure Delivery - Six Koru memberships were purchased during the reporting period. The purpose was to support frequent official travel undertaken by staff and representatives. The memberships provide access to quiet, secure environments with reliable Wi-Fi, enabling staff to remain productive during layovers and delays. Additionally, lounge access offers ancillary savings on meals, beverages, and amenities that would otherwise be expensed separately. For frequent travellers (e.g., 15+ trips per year), the cost of membership is typically offset within the first year. National Infrastructure Funding and Financing Limited - None. Infrastructure Commission - Refer to the Select Committee annual hearing questions and responses.
