41976 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Trade: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many staff, if any, have been or are planned to be made redundant, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: I refer the Member to the Minister of Foreign Affairs response to WPQ 41725 (2024). The Government signaled its direction for ongoing cost savings in the public service as part of the overall Budget process (30 May 2024). As part of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s response to this NZTE has implemented a reduction of 28 positions, eight of which were vacant.
