41974 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How much, if any, has been spent on consultants and contractors for the Wellington State Highway 1 improvements Road of National Significance to date, broken down by project?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA took over the development of the Roads of National Significance project now known as SH1 Wellington Improvements from 1 April 2024. NZTA advises that from 1 April 2024 to 31 July 2025, a total of $7,162,253 has been spent on consultants and contractors working on the project. These costs are tracked for the project as a whole and can’t be broken down to its component parts.
