41958 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Defence: How many, if any, Koru memberships have been purchased by each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for from 27 November 2023 to August 2024; and for what purpose?

Hon Judith Collins: Ministry of Defence: Nil New Zealand Defence Force: The number of Koru Club memberships paid for by the NZDF for its personnel has been 13 or fewer throughout the last five years. Only a few very senior members of the NZDF qualify for memberships in airline clubs at public expense. These members are required to travel as a significant part of their duties, including regular business travel, or to meet visiting dignitaries, or to accompany guests within New Zealand. They may also authorise, at their discretion, airline club membership at public expense for other NZDF personnel who are required, again as a significant part of their duties, to accompany them on official travel.
