Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) 229 positions have been disestablished as part of the Ministry’s current change processes (which includes vacant positions). 120 new roles that have also been established as part of the change processes which will result in a net reduction of 86 FTEs. The following data provides the breakdown of disestablished positions by position title, business group and Ministry renumeration band. This does not include the roles for the employees that were approved for voluntary redundancy in April 2024.
