41946 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister for Courts: How many, if any, Koru memberships have been purchased by each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for from 27 November 2023 to August 2024; and for what purpose?
Hon Nicole McKee: Reply 42070: I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and August 2024 the Ministry of Justice purchased 23 Koru memberships. The Ministry reports the purpose and number of Koru memberships purchased in its Annual Review. Please refer to Q99 of the 23/24 Annual Review for further information: b06bf5b7131db3d5651f8b10277cad4d992e2987 I am further advised that the Independent Police Conduct Authority purchased 18 Koru memberships from 27 November 2023 to August 2024. These were purchased in line with their 'Sensitive Expenditure Policy' which permits the purchase of a membership for staff who travel regularly for work, performing a variety of tasks including attending critical incident scenes, interviewing witnesses and subject officers, and to present training to Police or other stakeholders. For all other entities, I am advised that the answer is nil. Additional Note: Koru memberships are renewed annually in July/August therefore the 23/24 Annual Review does not include memberships purchased during the relevant time period.
