Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Agriculture: How many international flights in total, if any, counting each leg of a journey as an individual flight, has each department or entity that the Minister is responsible for paid for in the period from November 27th 2023 to August 1st 2025; and what was the total cost broken down by month, destination, cabin class and the purpose of the flight?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) provides this information as part of its Annual Review processes. I refer the Member to MPI's Annual Review material that will be publicly available in late 2025 for the total costs for international flights taken. For the breakdown of each leg of a journey, I consider that the time and resources required to answer this question within the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions is not in the public interest, in accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6.
