Arena Williams to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 38059 (2025), how much of the $435 million taken from the Kāinga Ora budget in Budget 2024 was allocated to cover technical accounting for infrastructure assets transferred and for each infrastructure asset transferred, what was the asset and to where was it transferred?

Hon Chris Bishop: A total of $75 million was allocated to a new multi-year appropriation titled “Transfer of infrastructure assets to Councils and other Stakeholders”, running from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2029. This funding covers the technical accounting treatment of infrastructure asset transfers, including potential future divestments.
