41772 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Housing: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, how many staff, if any, have been or are planned to be made redundant, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that 30 staff have been made redundant, and had redundancy paid. This includes voluntary redundancies. There will be further change proposals for other teams within Kāinga Ora over the coming months and each proposal is subject to consultation so the exact number of positions that will be disestablished cannot be provided at this time. These decisions are the responsibility of the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. I am advised that these decisions are still to be implemented.
