41668 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for the Environment: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, what are the total costs of staff redundancies, if any, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Ministry for the Environment have initiated two rounds of voluntary redundancies. The first round in May 2024 resulted in 45 staff taking this option. A second round of voluntary redundancies was opened in June 2024. By 10 July 2024, 48 staff have taken this option in the second round. I am advised the total cost of these 93 redundancies will be approximately $3,000,000.
