41582 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How much did it cost to administer the gold card for the financial year 2024/25?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social development (the Ministry) that the Community Services and Super Gold Cards are reported as one line item in the financial statements. This means the costs are not reported individually for each card. Costs relating to the Community Services Card and SuperGold Card are published in the Ministry’s Annual Reports each year. The final costs for 2024/25 will be published shortly and will be found in the following link, along with previous Annual Reports: www.msd.govt.nz/about-msd-and-our-work/publications-resources/corporate/annual-report/index.html.
