41577 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Housing: Was Treasury, LINZ, or any other independent agency consulted on the decision to sell the Dixon Street Flats at $1.04m, and what advice did they provide, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that following the initial consultation with Treasury on the Risk Profile Assessment, there was no requirement for further consultation on the purchase price with Treasury or other agencies. The accountability for individual asset management decisions lies with the Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities Board. Progress on the divestment has been reported to Treasury on a quarterly basis.
