41521 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Finance: Has Treasury provided her with any estimate of the total additional cost of Crown board fee increases across the public sector following the Cabinet Fees Framework changes of 1 July 2025, if so, what is that estimate?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Cabinet Fees Framework is the Fees Framework managed by the Public Service Commission and covers a very wide range of entities and agencies. The PSC only have full visibility of the impact of the potential increases. Treasury manages 4 large entities for the Minister of Finance under this Framework who have annual director's fees. I would expect to receive individual entity fee requests in accordance with the Framework requirements - strong evidence to justify the increases, including performance reporting, market fee comparisons and the ability to fund within operating baselines.
