41477 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Infrastructure: Will the Minister decline the Bunnythorpe Business Park fast-track apllication if essential information is incomplete or potential effects cannot be adequately evaluated?

Hon Chris Bishop: I can refer a project if I am satisfied it meets the referral criteria in section 22 of the Fast-track Approval Act 2024. I must decline a project if I consider I do not have adequate information to inform my decision. I may also decline a project if I consider a project will have significant adverse effects on the environment. It is not appropriate for me to discuss the details of a project or my consideration of the referral application before I have made my decision.
