41422 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Rail: How many appointments, if any, are planned by their agencies, if any, over the next 12 months, and what is the total amount budgeted for those appointments, broken down by agency and month?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: At least four board appointments are being planned and considered for KiwiRail (one new appointment to commence and two incumbent positions to be considered) and NZ Railways Corporation Boards (one incumbent position to be considered). The appointments process is administered as business-as-usual function within the Treasury and budgeted within its operating baseline.
