Hon Chris Bishop: Officials from the former Ministry for the Environment (now the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport) provided me with advice on decisions required to finalise the wildlife authorisation framework, including how Treaty of Waitangi settlement redress would be upheld and the thresholds that would apply to protect wildlife viability.
