41256 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: How many board fee reviews, if any, have been completed for entities under their responsibility, if any, in the past 12 months, and what was the total cost of those fee changes, broken down by entity?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education has conducted two reviews of board fees in the last 12 months. An April 2025 review of New Zealand Qualification Authority Board fees resulted in a five percent increase in fees. There was no increase in the fees for the members of the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand following a fee review in the same month. Both of these decisions were made in anticipation of wider increases being progressed through updates to the Cabinet Fees Framework. These updates were announced on 28 July 2025.
