41254 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Finance: How many appointments, if any, were made by their agencies, if any, in the last 12 months, and what was the total cost of those appointments, broken down by agency and month?

Hon Nicola Willis: I have made the following appointments, reappointments and elevations from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025: as Responsible Minister for entities within the Finance Portfolio: 4 appointments, 9 reappointments and 1 elevation across 6 entities (including the Reserve Bank as outlined below). In my function as Shareholding Minister for the entities that the Treasury is responsible for monitoring: 36 appointments, 25 reappointments and 6 elevations across 25 entities. Appointments are not managed by individual agencies. Governance and Appointments Treasury manage these centrally as a division of Treasury. The costs are not captured by entity. Two new appointments were made to the RBNZ Board – Philip Vermeulen was appointed for a 5-year term starting 10 February 2025, and Grant Spencer was appointed on a 5-year term from 1 July 2025.
