Hon Judith Collins: Ministry of Defence: Three new external board members were appointed in the 2024/25 financial year. Due to the varied nature of this work, it is not possible to provide a breakdown of the monthly costs incurred, but on average $3,592.04 was spent across the three members. New Zealand Defence Force: For FY 2024/25, twelve appointments were made to the three boards administered by Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand at an average monthly cost of $1,470. This includes remuneration of new appointees who received payment for their services; associated travel costs and expenses; and direct costs incurred in the appointment process.
