41216 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Development: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, what savings have been identified, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri it has made a $9.7m baseline reduction in departmental funding for Budget 24. I am also advised the savings come from a reduction in Personnel, Contractor and Consultant, and other departmental operating costs associated with a reduction in establishment and tighter controls on spending.
