Hon Tama Potaka: I have interpreted this question to refer to statutory appointments. The Minister for Hunting and Fishing and I have progressed a total of 91 appointments in the previous 12 months for boards where the appointment process is managed by the Department of Conservation. The budgeted cost for appointments work in the past 12 months, excluding staff time, was $42,000. This covers advertising, placing public notices and Gazette notices. I am advised that it is not possible to break down this spending by month without substantial manual collation and review and therefore decline to answer this part of the request in accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199/6.
