41214 (2026). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Housing: How many Kāinga Ora tenants, if any, in the Maungakiekie electorate have been evicted or relocated due to their house of residence being sold, as at 17 September 2026, listed by location, number of tenants, and outcome?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that where homes are being sold Kāinga Ora works with tenants to relocate them to an alternate property. Between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2026, there were seven tenancies in the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board that were ended due to the property being divested. All seven tenancies were relocated to another Kāinga Ora home.
