41213 (2026). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Housing: How many Kāinga Ora tenants, if any, in the Maungakiekie electorate have been relocated or evicted due to their house of residence being demolished, as at 17 September 2026, listed by location, number of tenants, and outcome?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that where homes are being demolished Kāinga Ora works with tenants to relocate them to an alternate property. However, I can advise that between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2026, there were 53 tenancies in the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board area that were relocated to another Kāinga Ora home due to the property being redeveloped.
