Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, (where applicable within their portfolio), listed by title and date, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I have not received any specific briefings on the fiscal implications of redundancies. However, I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that any costs of possible redundancies as a result of the change processes currently underway will be met from Vote Internal Affairs 2023/24 baselines.
