41184 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Over what period did the Fire and Emergency New Zealand matter now referred to the Serious Fraud Office start and end?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Corrected reply: The matter occurred prior to early 2021, and I am advised the earliest estimated date is 2011. I am advised that an internal investigation was conducted between April 2022 and May 2026. Given the matter is now being considered by the Serious Fraud Office, I am unable to comment further.
