41180 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, what savings have been identified, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Department of Internal Affairs identified $416.024 million savings over the Budget 2024 forecast period. This excludes baseline savings delivered by Ministry of Ethnic Communities and includes $300 million targeted policy savings in 2023/24 from the repeal of the Three Waters reform.
