41061 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: Of the estimated $19 million cost to the Crown if the procurement process for Liquefied Natural Gas does not result in a signed contract, how much of this is contracted/committed expenditure versus projected future spend?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the estimated close-out cost includes expenditure already incurred, contractual commitments, and forecast procurement close-out costs. As at August 2026, approximately $5.4 million had been spent. The remaining costs primarily relate to contractual commitments, project staffing, and close-out obligations.
