41010 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Defence: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, if any, what percentage of employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, if any, are located in the Canterbury Region, between 27 November 2023 and 10 July 2024?

Hon Judith Collins: With regard to the Ministry of Defence, the Member is referred to the response to question 7587 (2024). It is likely that the New Zealand Defence Force will have to reduce the civilian workforce, and will invite expressions of interest for voluntary redundancy from August.
