41007 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Health: Once a calculated Care Capacity Demand Management FTE nursing vacancy is identified, how long does it take to recruit and fill the position?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that recruitment timeframes are dependent on local workforce availability. However, I am further advised that since 2023, over 2,100 more nurses have been hired by Health New Zealand as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare.
