41005 (2025). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Immigration: Was David Cooper consulted on the Minister’s Active Investor Plus Visa; if so, when?

Hon Erica Stanford: Absolutely, as David Cooper is one of a number of immigration advisors with significant experience and expertise in investor visas over decades. As I have stated publicly, officials from MBIE undertook consultation with a number of stakeholders on changes to the Active Investor Plus Visa in 2024. This included David Cooper. I also consulted directly with members of my immigration advisor reference group of which David Copper is Chair. Unlike the previous Government's AIP offering, the reason ours has been so overwhelmingly successful is because we worked closely with the sector on the improvements to the AIP visa settings and listened to their experience and expertise.
