41000 (2025). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Immigration: Was Malcolm Pacific consulted on the Minister’s Active Investor Plus Visa; if so, when?

Hon Erica Stanford: As I have stated publicly officials from MBIE undertook consultation with a number of stakeholders on changes to the Active Investor Plus Visa in 2024. This included Malcolm Pacific. I also consulted directly with members of my immigration advisor reference group. Unlike the previous Government's AIP offering, the reason ours has been so overwhelmingly successful is because we worked closely with the sector on the improvements to the visa settings and listened to their experience and expertise.
